Where does the time go - 10 years of hairdo's

It's almost like watching that Jim Carrie Eternal Sunshine movie and how her hair color changes. We still look the same, only our hairdos change.

10 Years!

I've just celebrated my 10 YEAR anniversary with my husband! We knew we wanted to be together, but I never thought 10 YEARS would go by this quick. We really are in our mid 20's, yaknow.

I've noticed a lot of things that has the number 10 in them -

-We watched "The Pirates of the Caribbean" and Orlando Bloom could come to shore only every 10 Years. Too bad for him... He got married and made the wrong choice. Not me, I get to be on shore all the time!

-One of my clients would be celebrating her 40 year anniversary, but her husband is not with us. But that's (4) 10's. How neat is that.

-Do you remember the 10 little Indians song? I do.

-I will have exactly 10 people look at this post, even though that may not comment...

-I have more than 10 teeth, but I have all my 10 toes and fingers.

-Harryette may have 10 ticks attached to her body - that Andy will have to find.

If I get a scanner today, I scan in our wedding photos, just for laughs...

Long Weekend

Memorial Weekend... It's a long weekend!!

That means, I'll have plenty of work to do on Tuesday. I won't think about that until Monday evening.

Here's a fun picture of my sister and her family - my super cute nephews!

I think baby Adam looks like me when I was a kid. My brother thinks he looks like by brother.

I'm gonna try posting more this summer again. Maybe more about my co-workers, always about what Andy is up to, and other fun things. Read and comment often....

The Work Environment

I often hear Dire Staits - Money for nothing and the chiks for free - as if it's a reminder of what my last name is.

I never played in any sports in high school, so I never got used to people calling me by my last name.

I often get my chair pushed while I'm trying to work. Lots of people walk through my space. Although I still have a stappler, I'm thinking this post is only added fuel to the fire and I will be moved to the storage area.

I hear weird noises: monkey sounds, the word "FRENCH TOAST!" in a song, I've heard that girls make gun shots noises differently than guys, and the Elmo song that never ends.

Yes, theses are people that work in my neighborhood.

and the Administrative Assistant
I hope you guys and all my blog readers have a good weekend. I know you may think I don't work at home but:
"I've got my country's five hundredth anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, My wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. I'm swamped."

Guess What!

I'm picking up my parents today from the airport.

My Mom has been in Germany since the middle of October, helping my sister with the older 2 nephews, as my sister had a new boy (Adam) the beginning of November.

My Dad left the middle of December for his vacation...

I'm looking forward to hearing stories and seeing some stinking pics.

Bet you can't guess

I bet you can't guess what I finally did to my blog page...

My X-mas card to all my blog readers

I've sent long drawn out, boring Christmas letters of what Andy and I did that year.

This year I'd like to change it up a little bit and dedicate this to Assistant #1.

I'd also like to call this Christmas letter: what technology I got this year. It's amazing.

1) We started our January off by getting hi speed internet. My life changed. Not only could I talk to my vendors, but I could also be looking at the materials online while talking to them. I told some friends, at my poorest in Germany, I still could buy cigarettes every day. By February '06, we had no money, but we still had internet.

2) My next adventure, after getting a job at Ryan Companies, I got a cell phone. My FIRST EVER. Yes, that surprised the sales rep. There are very few like me left. It wasn't until Novemeber did I discover how to answer my call-waiting.

3) Close after my cell phone experience, I had my own blog started for me. As you can see, other than loading videos, I've discovered all sorts of ways to express what's happening in my life.

4) By September Andy had his FIRST EVER cell phone, but he read his manual. He told me he'd never use it. For a while, he forgot to bring it with him. I'd call his cell to come home and find out it was on the Kitchen counter. Now, he talks to me almost daily :)

5) Andy then proceeded to buy a video ipod so he could hear teaching tapes in his car while driving to work. We drove to MOA, threw down a bunch of money and quickly left. He did the tutorials online (because we have hi speed internet, ya know).

6) I got my ipod. Some of you know the story. I walked in to Walmart, "I want a video ipod."
"You do?"
"Don't I?"
"If I were you, I'd get the new Zune"
"I do?"
So, I got the Zune on Wednesday and it was returned for a regular ipod by Saturday. I won't tell who strongly suggested this... :)

So yes that our story of technology this year. Just so you know, I'm starting to eye up Andy's video ipod. Now that I know I can sync it with my outlook calendar... (mine won't do that).

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! I'm looking forward to not using any of my new technology, but curling up and reading a good book :)
