Saga of an Interior Designer

I've had this new thought about magazine pictures. I meet with many people that have 'clip files', including myself. We pull out of magazines what we like and stick em somewhere.

The interesting thing is these photos are unique and creative. The become reproduced as soon as someone wants to copy it. What I've noticed is that some people are afraid to try things that are new and different, although the picture they show me was at one point a new idea??

Does this make sense? I think it's great to use pictures as a vehicle, or a starting point, to create a newer unique and creative idea. I it's my job to help clients' go above and beyond what is typical.

I saw an ad in a magazine once that said, "Fight Sameness"(showing rows of houses that looked the same). I think I should add this to my business card under Interior Designer, fighting sameness daily. Or my other new quote comes from Thrasher magazine, "We instictually do the things that inspire us and stay away from the things that will bore us to death." I don't think this one will fit on my business card, but it still makes me giggle.

Maybe next time I'll talk about Sage Green? Do you have any interior design questions?

Stop the world and let me off

You know, I'm not so good with these computer things, you see.

I just found the stupid place to load a picture! This isn't the first or my last computer troubles of the week. I started a new commericial contract on Monday and ever night I've take the computer home, my software has not loaded correctly.

The entire thing is nuts. I'm sitting down town Minneapolis watching people be busy and think to myself, "River Falls doesn't have such large buildings" I've hit a parked car, one of the car attendants wanted to charge 2x the parking fee because, "taxes are higher in Wisconsin", the lady at Subway got mad at me because I didn't tell her I wanted cookies instead of chips and besides that fact I have no clue what I'm doing.

Although, after the bible study Wednesday night in Menomonie, Andy and I went to Dairy Queen (yummy). We ran into my childhood neighbors who has a hobby farm 2 miles from where I spent my high school years. Their sons were good friends thru high school and college. Sonja said we live in a nice town. River Falls is nice.

I have to end abrutly. Do you know what time it is? Don't you realize I have to go to bed early because I'm getting up early???

Good night.......
