Short and sweet

It's the quiet before the storm.

I can feel it.

I've started many layouts for projects both residential and commercially and now I'm waiting for the storm. There is time now to blog, so I must blog.

I'm sitting at my computer with hershey's chocolate bar with almonds and Jethro Tull and the quiet rain. It's awesome! Just so you know, I was turned onto Jethro Tull from Andy after we got married. I grew up on the Cure, Sex Pistols and other various oddities. We grew up on very different music, although we similar bands like the Talking Heads and Portishead. That's just like our marriage. We're very different, but at the same time there are ties that connect us together. I'm thankful for the music Andy brought to our relationship. I wouldn't be enjoying the rain as much if I were listening to the Beastie Boys or something like that.

Crap he's back... I should go and spend time with him instead of talking about him

Thoughts and Memories

I'm working on trying to load little videos that are funny, but as usual, it's not working for me. Here I am in the cities tonight with an old college friend. I may go with her and her b-friend to music and movies in the park. It's in Loring Park and the last time I went I saw Babes in Toyland and the movie 'Rebel Without A Cause.' So, I haven't been to one of these since before I was married. Man, how time goes so fast! I think it would be fun to do something like this in our backyard, although, I don't think country folk would think this is cool, like the city folk.

Have you ever wondered why it's cool for someone in the city to wear a cowboy hat or cowboy boots, but it's not for country folk to do that in the city?

Also, on the way to work today, Jensen Lawrence passed me near Woodbury! That's so crazy!

I'm off, that's going to have to be my new post, even though I was hoping for something else.

Things are Loopy

I have a meeting today at Loopy's Grill and Saloon, in Chippewa Falls. I'm so excited. Not only do I work on residential projects great and small; but within the last month I've started Tenant Improvement in Minneapolis and now restaurants!

That doesn't include the 6 seminars from Fall '06-Spring '07 on the Importance of the Master Bedroom. This seminar is an observation as an Interior Designer, looking at how important our relationship with are spouses can be. Hopefully it will be an encouragement to any Christian woman.

Awesome Install!

I had this great client that needed a bedroom update. I liked the European color scheme, but the homeowener couldn't stand another day with it... We chose new colors for the Kitchen and Living area and the new duvet cover, pillow shams and draperies went along with this new idea.

You have to look beyond the water spots on my camera and check out the new 5-star-hotel bedroom. The homeowner with be searching out a new picture/painting to go over the bed.

After Andy helped me install the draperies (he's not just my cute car mechanic), we went out to eat for breakfast. I was so exicited about this bedroom that I want to start on my bedroom. If you don't already know, Andy and I are doing our own little trading spaces... I get the Master Bedroom and he has no clue what I'm up to. I'll be working on this project between August 15-September 30th.

Right now Andy's working on our garden area, so when you come over to help with my Master Bedroom, we can take a break and relax in our new sitting shed! Let me know if you can come and help!!!!

ALMOST NORMAL

It seems that some things are starting to fall back into place... 2 of the 3 missions groups are back and I'm looking forward to the Cornerstone folks coming back also. In Ellsworth last night we got to hear stories from Bonita and the Haugleys.

You won't hear me complaining, but I tend to get a little introspective when I look back on the past weeks. God seems to put me in increasingly difficult situations to see how I'll do. As my life became unstable and uncomfortable, as some many people were gone at church, and I started a new job, there was nothing normal or comfortable. At the same time, I look forward to the days when I know that God will be able to handle anything. For, ANYTHING is possible with God!

As for the new job, every day things seems to be a little bit more under control. I put out another drawing set on Thursday. It looks like construction drawings for visually impaired folks, but I have time to figure out why my text is so huge on Monday.

Poor Andy, I keep picking on him... This is the only picture that went with this posting's title. He's always a good sport!
